A team at a British aerospace and defence company have created a re-usable adhesive material that can stick to any surface, a small piece of which could easily support the weight of a small family car. What areas of life will responsive materials most benefit?

Responsive materials will be of great benefit to rescue personnel. This will give them almost unlimited capability in search and rescue efforts. With how much weight the material can hold, this will be invaluable in extracting wounded persons from hard to reach areas. Not to mention, save valuable lifesaving time, effort, and money for equipment cost and production. They desperately need this for all industries. Utility workers for the electric company along with other public utility company's will benefit tremendously. Other uses in this category can include maintenance and service personnel to conduct a variety of repairs. The possibilities really are endless for uses of responsive materials. However, as silly this may sound, the best people to ask would be children. Think about it, reusable sticky substance and children in the same room together. I just hope mine are all grown up by the time development is complete.
